Announcement

March 6, 2014 by Ethan Ellenberg

We’re pleased to announce that Evan Gregory, after six years serving the agency as an Assistant and Associate agent, has been promoted to Agent.  His duties as subsidiary rights contact for the agency will be assigned to a new employee to be announced. In the meantime if you have any subsidiary rights related inquires, they can be directed to Ethan, or emailed to agent@ethanellenberg.com

Evan’s goal now is to take on several new clients in the following areas:

Fiction: Horror, mystery, thrillers, science-fiction, fantasy, literary fiction, women’s fiction, romance, children’s books (including picture books, early readers), middle grade, and young adult.

Non-fiction: arts, cinema, photography, biography, business, cooking, health, history, nature, family, politics, science, sports, and travel.

He is especially seeking material in non-fiction related to pop-culture, science, health, and current events, as well as action oriented SF (military SF, space opera), mysteries (cozy or otherwise), and contemporary YA.

Evan will be accepting submissions by email only.  Please follow our guidelines as per usual, put your queries to Evan’s attention, and email them to agent@ethanellenberg.com.

AGENCY NEWS FEBRUARY 2014

January 29, 2014 by Ethan Ellenberg

James Cambias’ A Darkling Sea is off to a rousing start and we have sold his next book to Tor, Corsair, for publication in Fall 2015.

John Scalzi’s Lock In will be published this August.

The agency is embarking on a new initiative and will be producing all six books for the re-issue of Ian Douglas’s great military SF series Warstrider.  We’re very excited about helping our authors re-publish and market their older titles.

Gail Martin has a busy year planned, the second book in her Ascendant Kingdoms saga Reign of Ash is coming in April and she is publishing her first urban fantasy, Deadly Curiosities this July from Solaris.

Perhaps our biggest headline should be the wonderful news that Karen Miller’s new series, The Tarnished Crown, is launching this August.  The first book, The Falcon Throne is at the copyeditor now.  With 5 books planned this will be epic fantasy of the highest order.

Sharon Shinn has a new venture underway, a graphic novel titled Painted Warrior, which is coming from First Second Books.

Lindsay McKenna has concluded terms for four more novels with HQN and her fans will be delighted to know she will continue with both her ‘Wyoming’ series and her spectacular military romance.

Mel Odom has delivered the first in his forthcoming Makaum (military SF) series with Harper Voyager.

Marko Kloos’ follow up to Terms of Enlistment has just been released by 47North, entitled Lines of Departure.

Tales of High Hallack, three collected volumes of the short fiction of Gandalf Grand Master Award winning author Andre Norton edited by Jean Rabe are coming out this year, the first of which is currently available.
